Field Schedule

Monday to Friday The Field is closed to the BMR Club Saturday The Field is open to all Bakersfield Multirotor (BMR) Club members and visitors per Frequently Ask Questions (Click Here), as long as you are a current AMA member. Open 9:00am to 6:00pm every week. o Excluding St. John’s events Sunday The Field is open to all Bakersfield Multirotor Club members and visitors per Frequently Ask Questions (Click Here), as long as you are a current AMA member. Open 3:00am to 7:00pm every week. o Excluding St. John’s events Locked Gate? As this is a field owned by St. John’s Lutheran church, the field is locked on the weekends. The Scheduled times above are available to all BMR members but if you drive by and the gates and restrooms are locked, you can call the club president to pick up the keys or the club president will drive over and open the field and restrooms. Please close and lock all the gates and restrooms before you leave. If you take responsibility for the keys, please do not pass the keys onto anyone but a club officer and all lost keys will carry a fine of at least $100 each by the person that took responsibility of the keys. Responsibilities & Rules… It is the the responsibility of each and every member and visitor of the AMA Field to do the following items. Keep field clean and free from trash No dogs allowed of any size Keep restrooms clean and neat Close and lock all restrooms and gates before the last person leaves Return keys to a club officer the same day Pilots must be an AMA Member and AMA number or pilot contact information listed on craft at all times All members, visitors, spectators, and Pilots must have a Waiver and Release form on file with the Club Secretary.  Email form to BakersfieldMultirotor@gmail.com or hand it into a club officer No drugs Standard St. John's weekend Map * Red = Main BMR Club member parking area * Green = No parking and BMR entrance gate (arrow) * Yellow = Main pilot setup area * Pink = main flying area within gate. * Orange = Secondary Parking and large event gate entrance (Arrow) (May be locked unless needed). Full concrete entrance as required. Call if you need the gate opened as to needs. * Blue = Restrooms and drinking fountain.
What is the AMA? The Academy of Model Aeronautics or AMA is the worlds largest model aviation organization representing over 180,000 members. AMA is the chartering organization for more than 2,500 model airplane clubs across the country. AMA offers its chartered clubs official contest sanction, insurance, and assistance in getting and keeping flying sites. Flying site assistance and disaster relief funds are available to chartered clubs. You certify that You are physically fit, have sufficiently prepared or trained for participation in this activity / event, and have not been advised to not participate by a qualified medical professional. You certify that there are no health-related reasons or problems which preclude your participation in this activity. You acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability information will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which you may participate, and that it will govern your actions and responsibilities at said activity. In consideration of your application and permitting you to participate in this activity / event, You hereby take action for yourself, your executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: (A) YOU WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for your death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to you including your traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: Bakersfield Multirotor (BMR), MultiGP, Inc. and/or their members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers; (B) YOU INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity / event, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. You acknowledge that Bakersfield Multirotor *(BMR) and MultiGP, Inc. and their members, directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf. You acknowledge that this activity may involve a test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by terrain, facilities, temperature, weather, condition of participants, equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people including, but not limited to, participants, volunteers, monitors, and/or producers of the activity. These risks are not only inherent to participants, but are also present for volunteers. You hereby consent to receive medical treatment, which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity / event. You understand while participating in this activity / event, You may be photographed. You agree to allow your photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns. The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form / web page shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. YOU CERTIFY THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS DOCUMENT AND YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT.
