Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA)

As of April 1, 2016, Bakersfield Multirotor became an AMA Chartered Club #5314 to be part of the Bakersfield community and to show that Bakersfield Multirotor is committed to safety and fun and to have the ability to host AMA sanctioned events with full insurance covering all AMA chartered flying site locations as necessary. Join the Club today at RCFlightDeck.com Club Members & Flyer’s still have the responsibility for themselves even if they are or are not part of the Bakersfield Multirotor AMA Chartered Club as some participants may still fly with the BMR Club Members as BMR Group Members but may not be part of the Bakersfield Multirotor AMA Chartered Club as all Multirotor enthusiast are welcomed to be part of the Bakersfield Multirotor community. See FAQ Also, some flyer’s may fly within an unsanctioned / unchartered AMA flying sites or locations and in no way shall Bakersfield Multirotor, AMA and/or MultiGP be responsible for the actions taken by the club members, non-club members, group members, and non-group members flying in these unsanctioned locations, including but not limited to the locations stated on the Places We Fly page.

The club is made up of Chip-in paying members that fly all things electric RC & FPV Multirotors, wings, and planes including but not limited to FPV Racing Multirotors. We fly on weekends at our own, rented, fenced in grass flying field and hold First Person View (FPV) Radio Controlled Multirotor Racing almost every month; Join today for the fun. OR Yearly chip-in membership at $60 or just $30 for Half a Year, Paid through RCFlightDeck, PayPal or cash only. ( https://www.paypal.me/BakersfieldMR ) First 3 months of Club Membership are FREE. RCFlightDeck.com membership is required for all members at; RCFlightDeck.com Non-local visitors are welcome to fly with us at the AMA chartered field twelve (12) times a year without becoming a Bakersfield Multirotor Club member. All visitors must be an AMA member to fly at all AMA sanctioned and AMA chartered flying sites and events. Showing proof of AMA membership is required. If you live outside of Bakersfield and would still like to support the BMR Club, you are welcome too as some members do not live in Bakersfield but have decided to become BMR Club members to support the group. Definitions: Multirotor = A rotorcraft (like a helicopter) with more than one rotor (propeller) FPV = First Person View (As if you are flying from the cockpit of the aircraft) UAV = Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAS = Unmanned Aircraft Systems LOS = Line of Sight flying.
